“Always to search for that which is higher, to set off beyond ourselves, towards the highest of what it means to be man”
— Pier Giorgio Frassati: Non Vivacchiare ma Vivere, pg. 5
Welcome to Serviam Institute
Our coaching embodies a uniquely authentic Catholic approach, deeply rooted in the traditions of our faith and Thomistic psychology along with evidence-based cognitive-behavioral techniques. At Serviam Institute, we don’t merely aim to navigate through life’s challenges; our mission is to transcend them by cultivating virtue and enhancing self-mastery. This holistic process is designed to deepen self-knowledge, allowing you to understand yourself better, develop virtues, and correct any disordered tendencies within. By doing so, we pave the way for God’s grace to flow more freely in your life. Let’s embark on this journey together, ascending the heights of life, grounded in our faith and lifted by our shared commitment to virtue, ultimately, for the Glory of God and Salvation of Souls.
Behind the Name
Serviam – Latin for “I will serve” – was St. Michael the Archangel’s powerful response to Satan’s rebellion. This word embodies our mission to serve God and others through the gift of coaching. The word Serviam embodies a spirit of humility, obedience to God’s will, and selfless service that we hope to inspire in you. We hope that through our work, you can go and carry on this mission yourself, glorifying God through the service of others and living your vocation well.
Meet Your Coaches

Keoni Sablan
Founder & CEO
Keoni Sablan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California and Arizona, as well as a Certified High Performance Coach. He is a devoted husband and father of two, who loves spending time with his family. Living the vocation himself, Sablan is committed to strengthening marriages and family life. Echoing the words of Sister Lucia, who stated, “the final battle between the kingdom of Christ and Satan will be over marriage and the family,” he is driven by a mission to support both himself and others in triumphing in this vital struggle. He aims to accompany others in their ascent through virtue.
Growing up, basketball was Keoni’s passion. He dedicated countless hours to perfecting his skills with early-morning workouts and late-night training sessions. His love for the sport led him to Franciscan University, where he could not only continue playing but also deepen his Catholic faith in a nurturing environment. Having experienced the life of a collegiate athlete, Keoni understands the challenges of perfectionism, performance anxiety, and the integration of faith with sport. It is his passion to assist others in engaging with their craft in the way God intended.
Keoni founded Serviam Institute with a goal to inspire the faithful to cultivate virtue again. In a world full of mediocrity and lukewarmness, Keoni aims to build a community of Catholics striving for excellence. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified High Performance Coach, Keoni knows the transformative power of counseling and coaching. It is his mission to help people revitalize the pursuit of virtue in their own life and truly be who God created them to be.
